About the Artist
In the Bicentennial year of 1976, Arndt was born in urbanized western Long Island. Growing up just outside the New York City boroughs, Arndt was frequently exposed to urban suffering, interdependence, conflict and tension that is apparent in her work today.
Her mother ,employed with Eastman Kodak Company out of NYC had indoctrinated Arndt in the photographic process early on. Arndt would receive a plutherea of discarded cameras as the photography market advanced. While other children colored, Arndt was snapping Kodachromes.
Arndt continued growth in her continued schooling along with the industry. While photography was not considered an ‘art’ she had tempered her creative expression in music, theatre, and literature homing her various exposures and synthesizing them. Arndt’s ability to work with the human element has afforded her the top bill in her work for the past nine years at an industrial distributor making way for her continued excursions in both the US and abroad. Thus allowing her photographic work to blossom into the fine art she has created.
